Nō reira, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa.
I was born in the Lyttelton Maternity Hospital in Cressy Terrace. In my pre-teens, my family moved to Whataroa, South Westland where I jet boated, kayaked, hunted wild game, trout fished, and explored the many majestic mountains, valleys, rivers, estuaries and lakes, appreciating the biodiversity of the indigenous forests, flora and fauna that Tai Poutini has in abundance.
I now reside back in my whanau dwelling at Rāpaki Pa, where from my lounge window I face directly onto Te Ahu Pātiki and its neighboring maunga – what a panoramic view!
With my management background in banking, economic development, leadership and governance, along with my whakapapa links to Papatipu Marae in Te Pataka o Rakaihautu I am privileged to carry the mana and wisdom of my Kai Tahu whanau and tipuna to positively and constructively contribute to Te Ahu Pātiki’s future.
